CominTec
About the company
ComInTec was founded in 1967 by Dante Cavalli and was originally called OMC Snc. It was engaged in the production of mechanical gearboxes. Then, in 2010, the company changed its name to ComInTec and began to apply its experience and innovation to offer specialised design and manufacture of high quality solutions, namely power transmission components, backlash-free torque limiters, safety couplings, flexible couplings, disc couplings and also offers its customers variable speed pulleys, sliding pulleys, shaft collars and clamping clamps.
This company manufactures special components that play a vital role in the manufacture of automatic machines and machines with manual gearboxes. These components create a connection for the transmission, avoiding accidental overloading and at the same time reducing machine downtime. In addition, ComInTec brand products can increase productivity and reduce maintenance and repair costs.
ComInTec products are widely used in various fields of application:
- Aerospace
- Door systems
- Woodworking industry
- Labelling
- Marine engineering
- Paper Industry
- Printing
- Bottling
- Conveyors
- Servo Drive Systems
- Conveying systems
- Solar energy
- Machines
- Heavy Industry
- Packaging
Since 1967 the company's business philosophy has been to offer only high quality products. The greater the emphasis on product development, the greater the "total quality" of the entire production and organisational process. Thus, in February 1996, the company obtains quality system certification in accordance with UNI EN ISO 9001-94. In May 2010, after a continual process of development, the company achieved the 9001-2008 UNI EN ISO certification, in line with its own consistency.
The high quality of the products presented in the ComInTec catalogues is the result of a process ranging from design, experimentation and development to the careful selection of materials and testing procedures during the production cycle.
It is worth mentioning that ComInTec has built a test bench (BP5000) on which various experimental tests are systematically carried out on the main components of the groups or on prototypes. For specific tests, employees of this company use external laboratories, such as CERMET, as well as the laboratories of the "Institute of Applied Mechanics" of the University of Bologna.
Moreover, thanks to collaborations with external research facilities, such as BUGNION, ComInTec has developed important Italian and European patents.
Accepting the challenge of the international market, ComInTec distinguishes itself at production level by paying the utmost attention to the process of creating all mechanical parts included in the products, selecting the most suitable materials with appropriate heat and surface treatments, precision couplings and grinding finishes at key points. These features ensure long-term performance and reliability.
In addition to manufacturing and design, the production process is monitored by 3D measuring instruments set up for final testing and calibration. Thanks to this technical/manufacturing flexibility, ComInTec is able to produce modular components which enable numerous variations of basic models based on customer needs.
ComInTec products
Torque limiters
Torque limiters which protect transmission components from mechanical damage caused by overload, shock and/or collision. They are available as slip, mechanical release, free-running, backlash-free or axial limiters. These products contribute to the reduction of damage and downtime.
Pneumatic Clutches
Safety couplings for pneumatic shifting. Function of engaging / disengaging mechanical or electrical impulses through a pneumatic circuit used for calibration during driving or automatic transmission interruption in case of overload.
Elastic and rigid couplings
Power transmission Compact, precise and easy to assemble; ideal for pairs of two coaxial shafts ensuring power transmission, compensation of any offset in all three axes and absorption of any vibrations.
Backlash-free couplings.
"Backlash-free" gasketed couplings for easy and quick connection of two or more components to a manual transmission. The extension size is customisable to obtain a specific DBSE with different types of interlocking. Length up to 3m without intermediate support.
Locking rings
Simple mechanical components designed to simplify and improve the assembly of machines or machine parts.
Pulleys and carriages
Simple and inexpensive mechanical devices which are used to change speed quickly and smoothly without interrupting the movement. By using a motor carriage, speeds can be adjusted
